Rules for the 2016 Philly Stones/PHS Pop Up course

At this beer garden positioned under the Reading Viaduct, Philly Stones built a playable, sample stretch. While a stones course consists of 5 stretches, this single stretch offers a great opportunity to get a feel for the game, with a minimal investment of time and with a beer in your non-throwing hand. At 6’ x 40’, it is a relatively small stretch but offers a unique layout. Built within a railroad tie frame, rolling hills of crushed granite block visibility to hidden sand traps, creating some interesting blind throws and tricky rolls. Large rocks add to the game play and native plants complete the aesthetic.

If you played the PHS Pop Up course, try taking it to the next level at our sprawling Course at Boxer’s Trail in Fairmount Park.
